Print an adoption flyer for Finn! PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.
Finn is 16 lbs Schnauzer who was found running down a busy highway a few weeks ago. I personally witnessed a semi come within inches of hitting him. He looked so scared and confused, pacing back n forth frantically. When I pulled over and got out of my van he ran to me, begging for help. His coat was painfully matted, pulling on his skin and causing sores. There were no nearby houses and I have not been able to locate his owner. We went straight to the vet and had him scanned for a microchip but he doesn't have one. He seems to be an older fella, maybe 8-10 years old. He is in good health, but appears to be deaf- maybe not completely but at least partially. He is an incredibly good boy. Totally crate trained- hasn't had a single accident. He does try to mark his territory but you just have to watch him and redirect him. We had him neutered so hopefully the marking will stop once those hormones are gone. He loves all other dogs, as well as all people, and isn't concerned with cats. He met several cats at the vet clinic and was friendly to them. He interacted with all of my dogs in a very positive way- he tried to play with them and took correction from them very well. He is very laid back and mellow - not high energy at all. He enjoys long naps and short play sessions, and a few short outside trips daily to do his business. He's a very easy going guy and will make the most loyal and loving companion! He is ready to find a home of his own. Some of the photos are before he was groomed. He will need regular grooming to prevent mats in his super soft, fine hair.
