PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.

10/9/16 Zaire and his brother Arlo are Chihuahuas who were orphaned when they were about 2 weeks old. The person who owned their mama didn't know what happened to her, but she suddenly got very sick and passed away before they could get her to a vet. I believe she had eclampsia based on what they told me. The babies were brought to our rescue and thankfully I had a little poodle mama with puppies about the same age and she took these babies in and took care of them just like they were her own. These babies are so sweet and friendly. They love everyone they meet. Zaire is my special baby because he is SO TINY. They are about 9-10weeks old now and Zaire probably only weighs about 2 lbs. He is so itty bitty and so full of love. He has a huge heart and so much love to give! He loves to be cuddled and held. Despite his tiny stature, he is healthy and strong. I am asking that he go only to a home without small children. He is just too tiny for little ones to carry him around, if he was dropped it could be life threatening for him. So I would say kids 10 and up would be best for him. Zaire and his brother Arlo are both absolutely precious and will make excellent companions. Arlo is about 4lbs so he will be a little bigger than Zaire, but still small. These guys are located in Arkansas and will be transported to the northeast once adopted. Their adoption fee is $300 and the transport fee is $140. Both fees are due when your puppy arrives. Our typical adoption fee for puppies younger than 6 months old is $400, and for older puppies and adults, the usual fee is $350. This includes microchip, spay/neuter,  up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, dewormings, flea/tick treatment, and heartworm test (if over 6 months old) as well as heartworm treatment if they test positive. There is a transport fee of $150 per dog, depending on the transporter. We use Pack Leaders Rescue Dog Transport most often, but also use Hearts Transport as well on occasion.
