About Chance

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes

8/16/16 Chance is a great dog who just needs a chance with the right family! He is a super sweet, loving guy who is roughly 1-2 years old and weighs about 60-70lbs. Chance is great with all people - including kids of all ages - and is also fantastic with other dogs. He is submissive to other dogs even when it comes to his food. Chance is not good with cats and would probably kill one if he got the chance. But if you are not a cat, he is all about love, cuddles, and sloppy kisses! Chance has separation anxiety and needs a home with a family who has someone home a lot of the time, or can take him with them. Chance loves to ride in the car! But again, he gets anxious if left in the car alone. He can be quite destructive if left unattended, due to his anxiety. He will destroy a crate if left in one, so that isn't an option for him. Anxiety medication may be something to consider for him. Chance does very well outside, but can jump a fence. He doesn't run away, he just doesn't want the confinement of the fence. He just jumps the fence and then goes to the porch and lies down at his foster home. :) Chance needs a special home with a family who is willing to help him through his anxiety issues and can commit to being with him most of the time, or put him in a doggy daycare, or devise another plan to make sure he isn't left alone. He will be worth the extra effort and will reward you with endless slobbery kisses! Chance is in a foster home in Arkansas but out of state transport is available once he has a confirmed adopter.
